When floodwaters rise, so does the strength of the San Angelo community. The recent floods have left many of our friends and neighbors facing heartbreaking damage to their homes and lives—but in true West Texas spirit, people all across the Concho Valley are stepping up to help.
As someone who works every day in real estate, I know how much a home means—it’s more than walls and a roof. It’s where we build memories, raise families, and feel safe. That’s why it’s so inspiring to see our community rally around those who’ve lost so much.
If you have any damage from the flood, it is extremely important that you fill out the iSTAT/FEMA survey. These surveys will help San Angelo receive flood assistance from the state or federal government.
Make sure to document any money spent and take before and after pictures of damage. Mark damaged items you are removing with a red or orange X so that they are not taken and resold.
Here are some community resources for those wanting to help and those that may have been affected:
TOM GREEN COUNTY TAXES: The tax office has an application for 10% - 100% reduction of property taxes. They can be reached at (325) 658-5575.
SAN ANGELO AREA FOUNDATION: SAAF is working with local Community Organizations Active in Disasters (COAD) groups to assist in determining need and the best way to quickly provide financial support. When disaster strikes, individuals impacted and survivors should complete the iSTAT damage survey as quickly as possible at https://damage.tdem.texas.gov
Computer & WiFi Assistance: If you need to upload documentation of flood damage but do not have access to computer or reliable internet, you may visit one of the Middle or High School Campus’
Debris Management Guidelines: Properly sorting debris is required for pickup and FEMA reimbursement. Guidelines are listed below.
If you have questions please call 325-657-4323.
DONATE LOCALLY
As of 7/8/25 there is no longer a need for physical item donations. There there will be an ongoing need for financial donations.
If you have any question feel free to reach out. If I don’t know the answer, I will find it!
This is what community looks like.
In real estate, we talk about “location, location, location”—but the truth is, it's the people that make a place special. San Angelo is showing exactly what it means to be good neighbors and to value not just houses, but the people who call them home.
Whether you give money, donate supplies, volunteer your time, or simply help spread the word—you are part of rebuilding hope in our hometown.
