2024 San Angelo Market Report

Dated: January 2 2025

As we start a new year it is nice to look back and see total sales from the previous year. Overall, the number of sales are down just a little from 2023 but prices are not. A look at the year end market stats on the 30th for San Angelo area neighborhoods, school districts and various price ranges. Average sale prices and average price per square foot numbers are still at all time highs!

All over the country real estate agents are waking up to expired listings. San Angelo saw close to 80 properties fall off the market when the calendar clicked over to 2025. Most of these should be renewed but until then we have less than 500 homes on the market. It appears that interest rates will continue to hover in the 6-7% range for at least the first quarter although we should see a small dip Thursday afternoon from falling treasury yields. Lowering energy costs in 2025 should help stabilize the consumer inflation stats which could lead to lower mortgage rates later in the year.

There are 479 homes for sale in San Angelo, TX.
