Attention parents of high school seniors in the Concho Valley! Exciting news from the San Angelo Association of Realtors: they've just unveiled their first-ever scholarships, and your child could be a recipient! Two scholarships worth $1000 each are up for grabs—one for general academics and another for a trade school. All graduating seniors within the SAAR boundary are eligible. But that's not all! Gandy Inc. is also offering ten scholarships. Check out the links below for applications and more details.

By seizing these opportunities, you not only support your child's academic journey but also potentially free up funds that could be invested in real estate. Whether it's securing housing for your student during their college years or making strategic investments for your family's future, these scholarships can serve as a stepping-stone towards financial growth. Take advantage of these scholarships and turn them into a valuable investment in both education and real estate!
And speaking of real estate, March sales are staying steady. In the past seven days there have been over 75 new listings, 45 closings and another 50 to go under contract. There is a lot of demand from first time home buyers and military relocation right now. We are still seeing multiple offers and quite a few cash offers. New home sales also continue to improve. There are currently 34 new homes waiting to close and 67 for sale on the MLS. As of March 5th there are 363 active homes for sale in the San Angelo area.
Local lenders are still offering quite a few different products to help with down payment assistance. One loan making a comeback is the USDA loan. This is a 0% down, FHA loan for homes located outside the San Angelo city limits. I am happy to help you with questions you might have about this type of loan.
